On April 23, Star Cinema and M-Zet will load our summer vacation with laughter with the comedy Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!
This laughtrip is a casting coup because it stars non other than the undisputed Box-Office King Vic Sotto, Box-Office Queen Bea Alonzo, child wonders Zaijan Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat, Pokwang and many more.
This obviously anticipated comedy from Director Tony Y. Reyes is the first big screen tandem of Vic Sotto and Bea Alonzo, making the director ecstatic when he reveals his experience directing his two leads and the cast.
“Alam niyo po, masaya akong nakatrabahao sina Bea, Pokwang, Zaijan at si Xyriel na pare-parehong mga professional at handa parati sa set!”
But what excites him more is “nagulat ako nu’ng pinapanood ko sa pag-take na may chemistry si Bossing at saka si Bea! Proud pati ako kay Bea kasi she’s willing to do things out of her comfort zone, kaya kakaibang katatawanan ito!”
That means everybody can just imagine how much surprises Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak is loaded with!
Written by Sherwin Buenvenida, Baroy Morga, Johnny Delos Santos and Lawrence Nicodemus, Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak’s story is not the usual comedy filled with slapstick stunts and noisy characters.
It revolves around an angel Angelito (Zaijan) who was exiled from heaven and was assigned to convince Angelo (Vic), a "fake" healer, to convert him to be a better man.
When the angel and the earthling meet, Angelo discovers that this kid has miraculous powers. So he decided to use Angelito in his "fake" healing racket.
Along the way, Angelito discovers an intern doctor Cielo (Alonzo) who harbors anger over Angelo because she is against his “faith”-healing business. When Angelito tries to work out a reconciliation between them, his attachment to Angelo and Cielo grows. Now this angel gets confused whether to stay on earth or return to heaven.
Full of twists and turns and heavy with laughter all the way, Pak! Pak My Dr. Kwak will open on April 23 in over 100 theaters nationwide.
